Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us, why we do so, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
The data controller is Marianas Guesthouse, 97 Slavyanska Street, 8250 Obzor, Bulgaria; email: marianas.guesthouse123@gmail.com; phone: +359 897 510 659.
What data we process
- Details you send with an enquiry: name, phone number, email, dates of stay, number of guests, preferred room type and message.
- Details you share when you call us or write to us by email, Viber, Facebook or Instagram.
- Technical data automatically recorded by our hosting provider’s server when you visit the site (IP address, browser type, date and time) for security purposes.
How enquiries reach us
Enquiries sent through the website form are stored in a protected database on our hosting and emailed to us. Only we have access to them.
Purposes and legal basis
- Replying to your enquiry and preparing a reservation at your request — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Meeting legal obligations connected with accommodating guests — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Keeping the website secure — our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to reply and to handle your reservation, unless the law requires a longer period.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data or share it for marketing. Data may be processed by providers we rely on to run the website and communicate with you — a hosting provider and an email service.
If you book through Booking.com or contact us through Facebook, Instagram or Viber, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies.
Cookies and external services
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not track visitors. Fonts are served from our own server.
The map on the location pages is loaded from OpenStreetMap only after you press “Show the map”. Your browser then sends its IP address to OpenStreetMap’s servers.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the current version on this page with a new date.
